Most Parish Events that require registration are set up for online registration and online payment.  Most also enable you to register guests.

If you are not able or do not chose to register online, there is always the capability of manual registration as described in the Parish Bulletin or by contacting the Church Office.

The link below will take you to a list of Events that are currently open for registration.  Click on the “Register” button next to a particular event to see event details.  If you decide to register, then proceed with “Continue.”  If you are not interested in registering, you can click on your browser’s back arrow to return to the Events list or simply close the browser.

Urgent Need for Volunteers to Feed the Poor

 One of St. Mark Church’s ministries, Bread for Life… a Gleaning Ministry, has urgent needs to fill number of volunteer positions, especially some for management/administrative functions. Currently, there are urgent needs for: Assistant Warehouse Manager, Food Bank Shopper (Card Holder), Pantry Warehouse Workers, Sack & Pack Program Assistant Manager, Sack & Pack Program Manager, Vendor Route Drivers, and Volunteer Coordinator.

Volunteer Position Openings Description
Food Bank Shopper (Card Holder) unlimited Responsible for procuring food from the Food Bank on Marsteller St. and distributing to pantry sites as needed. Shopping is on Monday at 9:00 am. Requires Food Bank of NC orientation/training arranged by BFL through the Food Bank
Vendor Route Drivers unlimited Drivers are urgently needed to pick up food from vendors in the Wilmington Market St/South College area and deliver to St. Andrews. There are currently 4 routes Starbucks, McDonalds, Papa Johns & Olive Garden. The time periods are 1, 2 or 3 times weekly, in the mornings, depending on the route.
Pantry Warehouse Workers unlimited Sorting and stocking the shelves with food products received at the Pantry. Food products also need to be dated to determine usability for the program. Hours are 9-12, Monday and Wednesday at St. Andrews Covenant Church on Market Street.
Sack & Pack Program Manager 1 Manage all aspects of managing all of BFL’s pantry programs. Includes doing food reconciliation to be reported to the Director of BFL. Attend monthly staff meetings. Need someone with good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Sack & Pack Program Assistant Manager 1 Helps current Program Manager with most aspects of the food distribution of food to other sites and/or walk-in participants at St. Andrews Covenant. To help oversee the distribution of food for future home deliveries. Needed Monday and Wednesday weekly from 9-12 and Saturday morning monthly.
Volunteer Coordinator 1 Will recruit and interview potential volunteers. Will be responsible for volunteer orientation as required. Time commitment is variable but likely 4-6 hours weekly.
Assistant Warehouse Manager 1 Will assist the Warehouse Manager in all aspects of the food pantry, with emphasis on supervising downline volunteers who process both incoming and outgoing food to participants and other BFL sites.

Confidentiality of your information is a priority. St Mark Parish staff has used ACS Technologies software for parish records safely and securely for nearly 20 years. Now with ACCESS, parishioners can use a personal password to update family information online, including setting options for display or blocking of contact information. Privacy of online data is further ensured by use of a secured website protocol (https) and by subjecting the operation to periodic security audits.
